The last competition of the season the Gerard McLarnon Memorial cup was won by Philip Maguire on spinner,in second place was Brian Bigmore on spinner, and in third place just 2oz behind Brian was Paul Fulton also on    spinner, this was enough to make Brian league champion for the second year in row.Brian finished on 94 points Paul finished on 92 points and Tommy McGrath finished with 88 points. The junior league was won by Matthew Doyle with 83 points, and in second place was John McKay on 24 points.the Heaviest Trout of the season went to Brian Bigmore, and the heaviest Dollaghan went to Tommy McGrath. So a big thanks to everyone who came along and fished the competitions and enjoyed the banter and the craic throughout the season which seemed to have flowed in.The swimmers award and the Wooden spoon award is all that is left to go for now so if you know anyone who has had a dip and hasn't owen up please let last years worthy winner Ruth Arrell know. With over Three weeks to the end of the season I'm sure everyone will get a Salmon and make last years worthy winners  Eimhear and Wesley McClenaghan job of picking a winner very hard Indead. So hope to see you all at our dinner and presentation night on the Friday the 20th of November.Thigh Lines for the rest of the season.

Winner of the Heron Bros cup was Brian Bigmore on the spinner,he had too great Trout one at 1lb2oz & 1lb 8oz, in second place was Paul Fulton also on spinner, and in third was Tommy McGrath on the Fly. The Cristine Gray Junior Cup was won by Matthew Wilson so well done Matthew on winning his first competition. The league table is as tight as could be with Brian Bigmore and Paul Fulton both on 86 points,Tommy McGrath is on 83 points, so it's down to the last competition,Brian is on 11in trout,Paul is on 9in Trout, and Tommy is on 10in Trout, so the money would be on Paul going into the last. Our last competition is The Gerard Mclarnon Memorial Cup on the 10th of October, hopefully we get some water before that. The heaviest Trout and the heaviest Dollaghan is still up for grabs at this one,so hope to see a good few angles at the last.Tight Lines.
